Communicating with Various Groups
As a person grow old, the experiences in their life impact them in different ways. Many things occur during their life as children, as students in primary and elementary school and also as they become teenagers. Ultimately, when they become adults, they can look back and discover how every activity in their past made them grow. They can also realize how the decisions that they made as children impacted their future circumstances. In concise, children do not have the capability to understand how their childhood can influence their future. They may take everything that they experience, and are taught for granted. However, adults are more attentive to every factor that affects their life, because they know better out of experience.
Summary of Interviews
The ideological situations influencing children in their daily lives is very shallow and highly predictable. According to Koocher (2011), children may experience very significant moments in their lives, but due to lack of exposure and understanding, they may not even realize the importance of the matter. After interviewing an eight year old boy about their most favorite memory, the boy narrated a story of how his parents denied him the opportunity to play video games till he was seven years old.
According to him, he thought that the period in his life when he was denied that opportunity was the darkest, bearing in mind his friends in school had access to every video game they wanted. His parents told him that they would allow him to play on his seventh birthday. Because of this, he counted the days, weeks and months till the day came for him to play the games. It did not matter whether the others were celebrating his birthday, all that mattered to him is the chance to play games like his friend did.
