Race and Your Community

Living in a diverse community could sometimes arouse racial issues in my community. My community consists mostly of blacks and whites and could sometimes bring tensions and even cops into our neighborhood to dissolve easy solutions that could have been handled like adults.
My neighborhood consist 60% blacks and 40% whites resides on my street. So when there’s tension between two different races the police be called. Meanings, before it becomes to an altercation the white person goes and call the police department to come out. I live in the Georgia where it still has its racial issues. It’s obvious who called because the units goes to the house that the call were placed and gather the information and goes to the house in which the feuding of the other family. I don’t know is this intimidation or do they really fear blacks or is this another stereotype we as a race carries. We as a race has been labeled and prejudged as individual due to the action that has been taken place from others of our same ethnic background.
As a black man in the south, it’s already a negative because even your own kind views you as the majority does. It seem as if people of my own ethnic background with the power and authority to place a person in a position to become a better person in life tends to be more skeptical than willing to help. I wonder is that person afraid of you coming in and becoming more of an asset to the company or move up quicker than he. When a white person sees another person of his race looking for help, he doesn’t view him in the negative perspective. Most likely he going to help him out and give him an opportunity to prove himself, but my race doesn’t stick together like that. Well not around here where I live and grew up.
