German aggression during the first world war could be argued as being responsible for the outbreak of the general European was in August 1914 to an extent, for reasons being that Germany were very prepared, they had a plan set in place the Schliefflen plan this involved the German army in fighting on two fronts in the War council, Furthermore Germany were very focused on Annexation in France, the Balkans and the Congo this aggression actions in the Balkans in particular made countries such as Britain react with the instant that War was brewing. In addition to this, decisions made by Germany such as the ‘Black Cheque’ may not be deemed as aggressive instead quite thriftlessly, however, this does not remove the argument that Germany were not responsible for the outbreak of war, it in fact replaces the argument that they did so aggressively. With consideration to this the responsibility of the outbreak of war could be could be blamed hugely on Austria Hungry, they played a vital part in firing up other countries in the preparation for war. Tactics for instance such as gaining Germanys undying dedication as an Ally ensured Austria’s support during their Attack on Russia. Furthermore Austria was the first country to declare War in Serbia In July 1914 then then later Russia on Russia in August.
From 1906 Germany had been preparing themselves for War during there War council meetings. This could be deemed as an aggressive plan to attack other countries such as Britain France and Russia. The Kaiser insisted that Austria Hungry should be supported in her attack against Serbia and if Russia were to attack Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Albania would be able to defend Austria Whilst Germany fought the French on Land and the British in the sea. Corrigan agrees with this factor by suggesting Germanys aggressiveness to fight in the War spurred on other country’s to also prepare, he suggests that maybe if Germany had not prepared for War, it would not have come so soon....
