This paper will use the HCL Technologies case study. I’ll identify two specific initiatives, “EFCS” and “Value Portal” that were implemented to change organizational structure, culture and processes to support sustained innovation in the light of changing global markets. I’ll also address insights on Nayer’s leadership relating to the effectiveness of general management planning and decision making in these changes.

Explain HCLT’s leadership strategies to support and sustain innovation linked to the defined trends. Finally, I’ll analyze Nayer’s leadership effectiveness in linking the trends and changes in structure, processes, and culture to a strategic goal.
There are many Global Market trends that influence HCL Technology. There are two trends that I see driving innovation at HCL Technology. The trends are Self-Direction and Transparency because they can be sustained, are systemic across cultural boundaries, economies, technologies, and ecosystems.
Trends Becoming Corporate Initiatives:
“Employees First, Customers Second”: Initiative that was created by Nayar out of the trend to have a “self-directed” workforce. The logic is simple: no happy customers without happy employees. In five years, this vision has allowed the company to secure the loyalty of its employees, triple its revenues, increase productivity and customer satisfaction, and reinforce its image.
