The Indian Armed Forces  are the various armed forces of the Republic of India. They include theIndian Army, the Indian Navy, the Indian Air Force, and are assisted by three paramilitary forces (the Indian Coast Guard, Assam Rifles, and Special Frontier Force) and various inter-service institutions.
The President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces. The Indian Armed Forces is managed by Ministry of Defence (MoD) which is led by Union Cabinet Minister of Defense.
