MEDIC INTERPRETERS TERMS & CONDITIONS
a. All information passed to the interpreter by the office, hospital, health care professional or patient will be treated as confidential. This includes details that may identify a patient entered on the website, information included on email and all details communicated during and after the consultation.
b. You must be familiar with The Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality issues enforced by the NHS Hospitals’ Trusts. The Data Protection Act can be seen at http://legislation.hmso.gov.uk/acts/acts1998/19980029.htm
c. The email address submitted to Medic Interpreters (MI) must be a secure one where the interpreter is the only person that can have access to messages within the inbox.
d. All emails with patient details must be deleted once read and a decision has been made to accept/not accept the appointment.

III. Attendance and punctuality
a. Prompt arrival is required for all appointments. Poor timing keeping will be addressed.
b. If you need to cancel an appointment you should note that time is of the essence and you must give us as much notice as possible. We may monitor the number and frequency of short notice cancellations you make and may use this information to inform our assessment of your suitability for bookings.
c. When you accept an appointment you agree to keep the whole of its estimated duration (as specified by us when the booking is made) free from any other work or other commitments.
